Course Description
TRD1: This course will include an introduction to the dynamics of international trade, export and import documentation, freight forwarding procedures, letters of credit, customs regulations and tariffs, terms of trade and world geography.
TRD2: These courses will include an introduction to basic computer concepts and their applications via lectures and laboratory activities. Windows applications in Microsoft Word and Excel will be offered as well as industry based applications in export and import procedures and regulations.
OFCS1: Areas of study include the operation of the electronic calculator, the procedures used in alphabetic, geographic, subject and numeric filing and the processing, storing and retrieving of various types of business documents.
BC1: This course is designed to strengthen the fundamental English grammar and punctuation skills with a focus on various types of business correspondence.
BM1: A one-step-at-a-time approach that offers the math skills needed for business and personal applications.
PES1: Designed to enlighten the student about the world of work. Effective resume writing and preparation for job interviews are emphasized.
