Cisco Networking Academy Program

 

The objective of this course is to prepare students for entry-level employment and/or to provide supplementary training for persons previously or currently employed in this occupational area. This program is designed to provide students with the classroom and laboratory skills needed to design, build and maintain small-to-medium-sized computer networks.

Program Description

IC1: Introduction to Computers
CN1: Cisco
CP2/3: A+ Certification Prep
CMO: Microsoft Office 2000

Course Description

IC1 This course is an introduction to CISCO and related computer technology.

CNI: This course is designed as four segments of seventy hours each providing students with a basic foundation in networking. Students successfully completing these segments will be eligible to earn a Cisco Certified Network Associate certification.

CP2/3: This 100-hour program is designed to prepare students for the A+ Certification Core Exam and/or the A+ Certification Windows Exam. Students will earn an Advanced Technical Centers certificate of completion at each 50-hour benchmark.

CMO: This course is designed to develop skills in word processing, database and spreadsheet applications.

ABS1: Students scoring less than a 9.0 grade level equivalent on the basic skills test form approved for this program will be required to complete adult basic skills requirements in reading and math.
