Computer Technician A+ Certification Program

 

The objective of this course is to prepare students for entry-level employment and/or to provide supplementary training for persons previously or currently employed in this occupational area. This program trains students in A+ to enable them to become certified as A+ Certified Service Technicians.

Career Opportunities

Graduates of this program will be prepared to work as computer technicians able to install, service, repair, upgrade, support and trouble-shoot microcomputers.

CP1: A+ Computer Technician
CS1: Customer Service/Employment Skills
CP2/3: A+ Certification Prep
CP4: Microsoft Windows Applications
ABS1: Adult Basic Skills

Course Description

This program has been designed to enable students to develop the competencies necessary to prepare for employment as computer technicians. The program is a combinations of theory and hands-on laboratory activities. The design is consistent with A+ technology, which is nationall recognized as an industry-wide standard level of competency in servicing PCs and PC peripherals. Successful completion to this program will enable students to become certified as A+ Certified Service Technicians. Included in the curriculum are Customer Service/Emloyment Skills and Adult Basic Remediation.
